Welcome to The Historic Anabaptist Church
Our Basic Beliefs
The Bible is the inspired Word of God without error and preserved in the Authorized Version.
The Genesis account of creation in 6 literal days about 6,000 years ago
All are lost unless born again.
We are saved by grace through faith and without works on the part of man.
Repentance and faith are inseparable graces and that all who do not repent and believe are lost.
Repentance is an action of turning to or from a person, place, thing, action etc. The repentance required for salvation is a turning "from" dead works by turning "to" Jesus.
No one can come to Jesus unless he is first "drawn" by God the Father.
We reject both arminianism and calvinism as we are not protestants. The idea amongst baptists that we must fit into one of these protestant boxes is stupid.
We believe in the security of the believer.
All who have repented and believed should confess the Lord and follow Him in baptism and begin to seek to do His will.
Jesus Christ organized a church while here on earth during His personal ministry (before Pentecost), and that He gave that church a commission in
Matthew 28:19, 20
There are two church ordinances: Baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
The church is local and visible, and has the Bible for her only and all-sufficient rule of faith.
We reject the doctrine of a "universal" church as the word church in the bible always means local and visible.
All churches should be evangelistic.
The pre-millennial second coming of Christ after the tribulation.
Heaven is a real place and Hell is a real place.
The Trinity of God. The Father is not the Son. The Son is not the Spirit yet all three are one.
